Thousands of Muslims living in Europe have been lured by the radical ideology of the Islamic State and have headed east to fight their "holy war". Last year, 400 youths departed from Belgium alone. In the Vilvoorde region practically "everyone knows someone who went to fight" and the local Muslim community is trying to respond. Imam Sulyaman clearly explains the causes of radicalisation and shows how it can be prevented with education. According to him, the key is to channel young people's energy towards their personal development and to effect positive changes in their surroundings – to return the word jihad to its original meaning.
