IMPACT DAYS 2024 – CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Would you like to develop goals and impact strategies for your film or any other artistic work that could bring positive change for society?  

We are currently looking for art projects about human rights and/or social or environmental issues to participate in our Impact days 2024 workshop, which will take place during the One World IFF on 21, 22 and 23 October 2024 in Bratislava, Slovakia.   

Call for projects 

For the fourth time, the One World International Film Festival will present the educational event Impact days, where during three days participants will approach the topic of the social impact of art through the example of a specific case study of an impact campaign, several lectures approaching the topic of impact in art and a workshop during which the authors of artworks will create their own impact campaign under the guidance of impact experts.

In 2024, the organisers of the event have decided to open the workshop not only for filmmakers, but for creators of any artwork that has the goal and potential to bring positive change to society.

For the workshop, we will select art projects, whose creators and authors will participate in group and individual sessions led by experienced producers and filmmakers to develop impact strategies for their artworks. Emphasis will be placed on refining the impact campaigns of the projects, which will then be presented publicly to potential donors, subject matter experts, media representatives, NGOs and other organizations outside the arts field that are related to the projects’ objectives.

What kind of projects are we looking for?  

• Slovak film, music, literary, theatre, multidisciplinary and other artistic projects are welcome to apply,   
•  We are especially looking for projects in the production and post-production phase,  
•  Projects in development will be considered, it is necessary that the creators have clear goals in contributing to society with their project,  
•  Projects should address human rights and/or social or environmental issues,  
•  Project creators need to be able to undertake a certain level of preparation prior to the start of the programme, 
•  Workshop participants must be able to attend the entire programme in person during 21-23 October 2024 in Bratislava.   

Fees

There is no charge to register your project for the workshop.   
Selected teams have to pay a participation fee of €100 per project.   
The fee includes:   

• Participation in the Impact days programme in group and face-to-face sessions led by impact experts, as well as participation in the final project pitching and networking,  
• Accreditation to the One World IFF for the registered artistic team, with access to the entire festival programme,  
• Refreshments (coffee breaks) on 21, 22 and 23 October 2024.   

Key dates  

24May 2024 – 1August 2024 23:59 – opportunity to submit projects to the workshop,  
30August 2024 – contacting selected projects for the Impact days 2024 workshop,  
September 2024 – introductory webinar and preparatory meeting for selected projects,  
1 October 2024 – Impact days 2024 programme will be released,  
21-23 October 2024 – Impact days 2024 workshop.
