Contact sound recording – the use of different microphone techniques
The aim of the workshop is to try and master the technique of contact sound sensing in practice. Characteristics and practical use of sound recording technology will be the main focus. Participants will familiarize themselves with professional recording technology, i.e., different types of microphones and accessories that will enable them to record mono, stereophonic and multi-channel audio and to make multitrack recordings. Through practical exercises, they will be able to record monologue, dialogue, foley, stereo ambience, and ambisonic soundscapes. The presentation will continue with an analysis of the recorded material on the sound stage of the Studio of Sound Composition of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
The workshop will take place on Sunday 5.11., from 15:30 to 17:30 and will be led by Tomáš Balák.
Workshop is fully inclusive accessible also for the visually impaired and blind participants.
