How to watch films online?

Films can be watched after the festival from October 28 to November 3.

The online film selection can only be accessed with a special CINEPASS ONLINE, available wherever you are in Slovakia. Single tickets for individual online films will not be sold. You have three pricing options: €3, €20, or €30, and it’s up to you to decide. If you love Jeden svet and want to support us, choosing a higher amount will make us happy.

Films online can only be watched within Slovakia.

I can’t start the online playback of a film

Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If the issue persists, contact us at jedensvet@clovekvohrozeni.sk.

Is online film viewing geographically restricted?

Yes, due to licensing agreements, films can only be watched online in Slovakia.

How do I enable subtitles for online viewing?

In the bottom right corner, you’ll find a “CC” icon. Click on it to select the subtitle language. Please note that Chromecast devices do not support subtitles. We recommend using Chrome or Firefox browsers. If you encounter problems, try a different browser or device – tablet, or mobile. If the issue persists, contact us.

Screenings in cinemas

Selected films will also be available in Bratislava cinemas, with special meetings with directors, creators, inspirational guests, discussions, and other accompanying events. You can purchase a single film ticket online via the film’s detail or at the venue.

Where are the screenings held?

Locations:

  • Kino Lumière – almost all screenings are at Kino Lumière. Selected films will also be shown at:
    • A4 – Space for Contemporary Culture
    • Cinema City Eurovea

Will there be accompanying events during the festival?

Yes, we have daily discussions, meetings with filmmakers and creators, and many other accompanying events. Details can be found in the schedule.

How can I participate in the accompanying events?

You can attend the accompanying events for free. Discussions can also be streamed online on our Facebook page.

Will there be festival merchandise this year?

No. We’ve made a revolutionary anti-consumerist decision that respects our planet and your home space. You won’t be able to buy a T-shirt or a bag with the visual design of the 25th edition of Jeden svet. Instead, you’ll take home unforgettable film experiences. 👀

Accessibility at Jeden svet

What if I want to watch a film as a deaf or blind person?
In the program, use the filter to select audio commentary or subtitles for the deaf.

During the festival, there will be trained volunteers who know sign language at the screening venues. These volunteers will wear T-shirts with the sign language logo. Volunteers can also assist blind or visually impaired visitors, helping with orientation in the cinema halls and providing guidance to and from the venue.

Accessibility of cinemas

  • Kino Lumière: Halls K1 and K2 are wheelchair accessible.
  • A4 – Space for Contemporary Culture: barrier entry.
