Film Daria Bosia a Maren Wiscwirovej Kam patríme sleduje príbehy Abbasa, mladého Shabaka, ktorý ťažko pracuje, aby pomohol zvýšiť kvalitu života v regióne pomocou šou v rádiu a dobrovoľníckej práce a Alyaae, turkménskej právničky v Iraku, ktorá pomáha rodinám postihnutým ISIS v boji o spravodlivosť a odškodnenie. Film ponúka neobyčajný vhľad do každodenného života irackého vidieka po ataku ISIS. Po projekcii bude nasledovať diskusia s režisérom.

Diskusia sa koná v spolupráci s Minority Rights Group a projektom Svet medzi riadkami. Finančne podporil Slovak Aid.

Daria Bosia and Maren Wiscwire’s film Where We Belong follows the stories of Abbas, a young Shabak, who works hard to help improve the quality of life in the region through radio shws and volunteer work, and Alyaae, a Turkmen lawyer in Iraq helping families affected by ISIS and compensation. The film offers an extraordinary insight into the everyday life of Iraqi countryside after the ISIS attack. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the director.

‘Where we belong’ follows the stories of Abbas, a young Shabak working hard to improve life in the region through a radio show and volunteering, and Alyaa, a female Turkmen human rights lawyer in Iraq, helping families who have been affected by ISIS to claim justice and compensation. The film offers a rare glimpse of what everyday life looks like in post-ISIS rural Iraq.

Discussion takes place in cooperation with Minority Rights Group and project World between the Lines, with financial help of Slovak Aid.
